【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesgeneralrequirementsforsolventcementsusedinjoiningacrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)plasticpipeorfittingstopoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)plasticpipeorfittings.1.2ThesecementsareintendedforuseincementingtransitionjointsbetweenABSandPVCmaterialsinnon-pressureapplicationsonly(25psi(170kPa)orless).Note1ThisspecificationwasdevelopedtoprovideameansforjoininganABSnon-pressurepipingsystemusingasolvent-cementedtransitionjoint,forexample,joiningABSbuildingdraintoaPVCsewersystem.TheintentionwasnottocreateaspecificationforanallpurposeABS-PVCsolventcementthatwouldbeusedformixingofABSandPVCpipingmaterialsnortospecifyacementthatcouldgenerallybeusedforeithermaterial.SpecificcementsforABSorPVCcomponentsshouldbeused(see).1.3SolventcementsusedforjoiningPVCpipeandfittingsarespecifiedinSpecificationD2564.SolventcementsusedforjoiningABSpipeandfittingsarespecifiedinSpecificationD2235.1.4ArecommendedprocedureforjoiningABStoPVCpipeandfittingsfornon-pressureapplicationsisgivenintheappendix.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
