【摘要】:Thequalityofthestripeforvisibilityindaylightorunderroadlightingisdeterminedbytheluminancecoefficientunderdiffuseillumination,Qd,anddependsonthematerialsused,age,andwearpattern.Theseconditionsshallbeobservedandnotedbytheuser.Underthesameconditionsofilluminationandviewing,higherlevelsofQdcorrespondtohigherlevelsoflightness.Reflectivityofpavement(road)markingsdegradewithtrafficwearandrequireperiodicmeasurementtoensurethatsufficientlinevisibilityisprovidedtodrivers.Foragivenviewingdistance,measurementsofQdmadewithareflectometerhavingageometrycorrespondingtothatdistanceareagoodindicatorofthevisualrankingofmaterialmeasured.specifiedbyCEN,themeasurementgeometryoftheinstrumentisbasedonaviewingdistanceof30mandaneyeheightof1.2m.Itshallbetheresponsibilityoftheusertoemployaninstrumenthavingthespecifiedco-viewingangle.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementoftheluminancecoefficientunderdiffuseilluminationofhorizontalpavementmarkings,suchastrafficstripesandsurfacesymbols,andpavementsurfaces,inaparticularviewingdirectionusingaportablereflectometer.Note18212;Theluminancecoefficientunderdiffuseilluminationisameasureofthereflectionofhorizontalpavementmarkingsandpavementsurfacesinaparticularviewingdirectionindaylightorunderroadlighting.Diffuseilluminationapproximatesdaylightilluminationfromtheovercastsky,androadlightingasanaverageoflocationsonthepavementsurface.1.2Theco-viewingangleofthereflectometeraffectsthereadings.AsspecifiedbytheEuropeanCommitteeforStandardization(CEN),theco-viewingangleshallbe2.29x00B0;.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedtobeusedforfieldmeasurementofpavementmarkingsandpavementsurfacesbutmaybeusedtomeasuretheperformanceofmaterialsonsamplepanelsbeforeplacingthemarkingmaterialinthefield.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
