【摘要】:UseoftheSIMdecreasesthetimerequiredforcreeptooccurandtheobtainingoftheassociateddata.ThestatementssetforthinSection1.5areveryimportantinthecontextofsignificanceanduse,aswellasscopeofthestandard.Creeptestdataareusedtocalculatethecreepmodulusofmaterialsasafunctionoftime.Thesedataarethenusedtopredictthelong-termcreepdeformationexpectedofgeosyntheticsusedindrainageapplications.Note18212;Currently,SIMtestinghasfocusedmainlygeonetsmadefromhighdensitypolyethylene.Additionaltestingonothermaterialsisongoing.R+Htestingisdonetoestablishtherangeofcreepstrainsexperiencedinthebriefperiodofveryrapidresponsefollowingthepeakoftheloadramp.1.1ThistestmethodcoversacceleratedtestingforcompressivecreeppropertiesusingtheSteppedIsothermalMethod(SIM).1.2ThetestmethodisfocusedongeosyntheticdrainagematerialssuchasHDPEgeonetspecimens.1.3nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;TheSIMtestsarelaterallyunconfinedtestsbasedontime-temperaturesuperpositionprocedures.1.4RampandHold(R+H)testsmaybecompletedinconjunctionwithSIMtests.TheyaredesignedtoprovideadditionalestimatesoftheinitialrapidcompressivecreepstrainlevelsappropriatefortheSIMresults.1.5Thismethodcanbeusedtoestablishthesustainedloadcompressivecreepcharacteristicsofageosyntheticthatdemonstratesarelationshipbetweentime-dependentbehaviorandtemperature.Resultsofthismethodaretobeusedtoaugmentresultsofcompressivecreeptestsperformedat20x00B1;1x00B0;Candmaynotbeusedasthesolebasisfordeterminationoflongtermcompressivecreepbehaviorofgeosyntheticmaterial.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
