【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeisintendedasaguidefortheuseofaflamephotometricdetector(FPD)asthedetectioncomponentofagaschromatographicsystem.1.2ThispracticeisdirectlyapplicabletoanFPDthatemploysahydrogen-airflameburner,anopticalfilterforselectivespectralviewingoflightemittedbytheflame,andaphotomultipliertubeformeasuringtheintensityoflightemitted.1.3ThispracticedescribesthemostfrequentuseoftheFPDwhichisasanelement-specificdetectorforcompoundscontainingsulfur(S)orphosphorus(P)atoms.However,nomenclaturedescribedinthispracticearealsoapplicabletousesoftheFPDotherthansulfurorphosphorusspecificdetection.1.4ThispracticeisintendedtodescribetheoperationandperformanceoftheFPDitselfindependentlyofthechromatographiccolumn.However,theperformanceofthedetectorisdescribedintermswhichtheanalystcanusetopredictoverallsystemperformancewhenthedetectoriscoupledtothecolumnandotherchromatographicsystemcomponents.1.5Forgeneralgaschromatographicprocedures,PracticeE260shouldbefollowedexceptwherespecificchangesarerecommendedhereinforuseofanFPD.1.6solely-SI-units;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyinformation,seeSection,Hazards.
